Currently, Tachometer for MONKEY 125 has only options made by Takegawa and there are no choices.
Couplet-on certainly comes with Exclusive Bracket and it is attractive, but Scale of 17,000 rpm was Overspecifics, compared to 7,000 rpm of NORMAL's maximum output rotation.
This Meter is a scale of 9,000 rpm which is inferior in price as well, and it can be attached almost Couplet-on depending on the installation.
However, in the case of MONKEY 125, since it was impossible to obtain a pulsed signal from the Ignition coil, we decided to wind the Pulse wire around the Plug cord and take the signal.
So DAYTONA 's Pulse harness prepared together was wasted ...
my bike dont have tachometer, only speedmeterim bought 2 month ago, install, very good looks like small but led bright recognize no problem but lcd display very small View Detail
The Tachometer for SUPER CUB, well, it would be nice if there was one, but since there was a Tachometer of Full scale 9000rpm that seemed to suit the maximum output of 7,500rpm of CUB, I bought it.
It was smaller than I expected. I think it could have been a little larger.
First, Wiring, etc.
As for the power supply, I interposed it in the power supply because I had attached Harness of the power supply extraction of KITACO.
Pulse was taken by the primary side of Ignition, so I used it as it was, but after 4 or 5 days, the guideline started to act up (why after 4 or 5 days?). Therefore, when Register Harness which is confirmed to work with CROSS CUB was interrupted with WEBCatalogue of DAYTONA, slightly, Response became bad, but it came to operate normally (Ignition coil is Hyper Ignition coil is Takegawa's Hyper Ignition Coil).
Then installation
The body is fixed to the screw adapter of Back Mirror through the Universal Bracket of KITACOConvenienceParts (Bolt hole is enlarged from 8mm to 10mm by File to fit the Adapter) with the attached Y-shaped Bracket (I bent it about 30 degrees to face my direction). I bent it about 30 degrees to face my direction. The vibration was very strong at 5000rpm, so I put a rubber between Universal Bracket and Y Bracket.
The Cable from the Body was inserted into the Cover along the Accelerator Wire and connected behind the Cover with the SUPER CUBEmblem under the Headlight.
The cable for Pulse extraction is from the primary side of the Ignition coil, so the Leg shield needs to be removed, and this is the most time-consuming part.
Since it is a Universal Product, it was Large strange in Wiring and installation, but I am satisfied with the hard work.View Detail
This is the Tachometer that I removed when I gave up my MONKEY125.
I was wondering if I could make use of it because it's a waste, and then I found Step up on the Net. (Boost) I tried to install 12VTachometer by using "Module" without changing 6VMONKEY to 12V.
The first module that I purchased was a very cheap one for the base only, but when I tried to use it for the time being, I was able to boost the voltage to 12V and confirmed that I could use it without any problem.
However, he couldn't stand the vibration etc., or soon Puncture.
It's frustrating as it is, so it's a bit more robust. (Bigger Regulator?) I got the one from the
In the Instruction Manual of DAYTONA, the use of 12V conversion, Point ignition, and Plug without Register was not allowed, but it was confirmed that it can be used without any problem at all.
Extracting the Pulse is just wrapping the Pulse wire around the plug cord.
However, the occasional Tachometer? There was a problem with the Tachometer. The cause was due to low Battery voltage.
As long as there is a stable supply of 6V voltage, there is no problem.
This Tachometer has a simple appearance and is very easy to install in Normal style.
It's also perfectly usable.
How about for the fancy lovers …?View Detail
I installed it in New Model SEROW by DIY.
I used RAMMount for the mount and connected the power supply to the cord I took out before.
Pulse is taken from the Coupler's Orange line at the ECU.
The Sweep function works by turning the key on, and the Back light is beautiful, too, with a choice of BlueRedWhite.
It looks great and is not difficult to install.
In addition, although the Engine of SEROW is the Engine, the needle arrives a little late.

Accuracy is a good thing
Since it's not for 4-wheelers, the anti-vibration measures should be good
I installed it on my v-max and it looks moderate
This has improved visibility in the pass
However, the Rear Installation NutQuantity:I went around the 2pc One Side foolishness
If only this hadn't happened, it would be a shameView Detail
