[Special clutch cover (wire type)]
It is possible to change the stock automatic centrifugal clutch to a manual clutch.(Except KSR PRO) The main body of the cover is made of die-cast aluminum, buffed and clear coated, and beautifully finished. The cover shape and surface treatment are completely different from the stock clutch cover, giving an impact to the engine and beautifully directing the bike. SP Takegawa logo on the clutch cover.
■Wire type The rack and pinion type is adopted for the clutch operating mechanism of the manual wire type, and stable clutch work can be performed. The wired kit includes a quick release clutch lever with replaceable rear view mirror holder.
■Patented structure of clutch cover (thermostat mounting part and oil line structure) This manual clutch cover has a patented structure that enables the installation of a thermostat, which is only available from SP Takegawa. Original oil line structure prevents overcooling when oil cooler is installed by installing SP Takegawa thermostat unit (sold separately).
■How to operate the thermostat When the oil temperature rises (above 70°C), the shape memory alloy spring in the thermostat extends, blocks the bypass passage in the clutch cover, and changes the oil flow to via the oil cooler. If the temperature is below 70 degrees Celsius, the spring will contract and the oil coolant will be removed. The oil cooler is closed. The oil flows through the bypass passage.
■Thermostat unit (02-01-5052) *Thermostat unit must be installed at the same time as SP Takegawa oil cooler.
■Large filler cap (aluminum die-cast with chrome plating) The oil inlet is larger than the stock one, so it is easy to fill the oil.
■Equipped with an engine oil check window Equipped with a window to check the engine oil level like a stock engine.The windows are made of durable glass.
■Original filler cap The original filler cap with the same screw diameter and mounting pitch (1.5mm) as the stock cap is used. Die-cast aluminum with plating.
[Oil outlet as standard equipment]
The clutch cover body is equipped with an oil outlet to allow the oil to be taken out to the oil cooler. By purchasing SP Takegawa oil cooler kit, you can install it in the shroud without destroying the image of your bike. Even if the oil outlet is not used, it can be used as a manual clutch cover as it is because the blind plug is installed.
■Primary ride gear included SP Takegawa's primary drive gear is much lighter than the stock gear and improves the throttle response and transmits 100% of the crankshaft rotation to the secondary clutch.
[Special Clutch Inner Kit (Slipper Clutch)]
By changing to a 6 disc clutch compared to the standard clutch (5 discs), the clutch capacity will be increased and the set load of the spring can be set lower (in combination with the standard spring) to make the clutch operation lighter. This 6-disc reinforced clutch kit includes a high-mount primary drive gear with a primary reduction ratio of about 14%. It can be used for both stock and custom engines. The number and combination of clutch springs can be adjusted.
■Slippery Clutch The slipper clutch reduces the shock of sudden engine braking when downshifting at high RPM. This reduces sudden posture changes, rear tire hopping, and load on the engine.
■Primary ride gear (14% increase in primary reduction ratio type) The installation of this clutch improves throttle response, and without a centrifugal clutch, 100% of the crankshaft rotation can be transmitted to the secondary clutch.
KV compound friction disk Friction discs are KV compound friction discs for improved durability.
■Reinforced clutch springs Comes with 6 reinforced springs with higher spring rate than stock.
